SACC-DC Internships

The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce of Washington DC is currently seeking two highly motivated Interns for our Spring Internship positions. We offer two different internships positions, Business Associate Intern for a 12-month period and a Communication Intern for a 6 or 12-month period.

INTERNING AT SACC-DC

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Swedish or Finnish citizenship required for J-1 visa.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Swedish and English.
  • Highly motivated, business-minded, solution-oriented, adept at multitasking.
  • Excellent organizational and administrative abilities. Proficiency in IT and Microsoft Office.
  • Capable of comprehending instructions and working independently.
  • Previous experience in business-related work is an advantage.

BUSINESS ASSOCIATE INTERNSHIP

The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce of Washington D.C., Inc. (SACC-DC) proudly offers the 12 Months Internship Program. The internship is a full-time commitment, divided into two phases: 6 months spent full-time at SACC-DC, followed by a 6-month part-time arrangement, split between the Chamber and a SACC-DC member company. Previous interns have been placed at esteemed organizations such as Skanska, SAAB North America, Axis Communications, Volvo Cars, and AstraZeneca. After completing their 12-month internships at SACC-DC, they have gained invaluable experience and established an extensive network to further their international careers, both in Sweden and abroad.

The application opens in the fall of 2024.

COMMUNICATION /MARKETING INTERNSHIP

The Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce of Washington DC (SACC-DC) is looking for a Marketing / Communication Intern starting in July 2024.

The internship is a 12-month, full-time program divided into two phases: 6 months spent at SACC-DC, followed by a 6-month part-time arrangement, split between the SACC-DC office and a SACC-DC Member organization. This way, the intern gains maximum experience from the non-profit and commercial sectors during their year in D.C. Past interns have been placed at Volvo Cars, Astra Zeneca, Axis Communication, SAAB North America, and Skanska.
